Holiday Services
Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on the first night and both mornings of the holiday. The Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur Day services are attended by both reform and conservative members. We observe two separate endings to Yom Kippur afternoon services, one at aprox. 5 pm followed by a break-fast; and one at sunset.  The prayer book for High Holidays is “The Gates of Repentance”. The Silverman Mahzor is used for the second day of Rosh Hashanah and the latter afternoon and closing services of Yom Kippur.
There are special Shabbat services such as the Hadassah Shabbat at which Hadassah members conduct the service. We also celebrate other Jewish holidays including Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Hanukkah, Purim, Passover, Shavuot and Tu B’Shevat. A community Seder is held on the second night of Passover.

High Holiday Tickets

It is not a custom at B'er Chayim Temple to require presentation by members (or non-members) of High Holiday Service tickets.  We do not distribute nor collect such tickets; attendance at any and all services is a benefit of membership at B'er Chayim.  We have been fortunate to be able to extend this privilege to students attending school in our area, and of course follow the reciprocal arrangements which URJ maintains.

As the only Jewish House of Worship within a 60 mile radius, we are happy to be able to share our services with you if you are not a member.  We do ask you to remember that as a small congregation, we have the same familiar financial concerns as most congregations.  We do ask you to consider making a contribution, if you are able, while you share the High Holidays with us.  Any contribution, however large or small, is very much appreciated.

Donation envelopes may be found in the hall area outside the sanctuary.  Please place the envelope in the basket located in the hall. If you would rather, you may take the envelope with you and mail a contribution.

If you live within the local area, we welcome you back to worship with us on other occasions as well.  Please check our website for membership information, including an introductory membership offer.
